I am an artist.
Why is that so hard to say: I am an artist. I am an artist. I am an artist.
You all know that I'm on a path, that I'm working things out, trying
to figure out what I'm doing with my life, how I can live creatively,
how I can also earn a living by doing my creative things.
I've been working with an amazing life coach, Michelle Ward, the When
I Grow Up Coach, since the first of the year and this has been such an
enlightening experience. Through my work with her, I've really been able
to clarify the direction I want my life to take and make real, concrete
steps toward making that happen.
I also attended the Artful Journey retreat in February and got to
spend 3 days with Kelly Rae Roberts and Mati Rose McDonough learning
their techniques and just being in an amazingly supportive, creative
space.
And since then, it's been like a light has gone off. I want to be an artist. Me, the girl with no official training, the girl who has never even taken an art class, the girl who, until February, had never even made a painting. Yep, that's right: I want to be an artist. I'm going to be an artist. I am an artist.
I am an artist. And this is my life.
